David E. Ambrose attended the Grenada Boys’ Secondary School (GBSS) from 1983 – 1988. After spending a year at the Grenada National College, he travelled to the United States to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Foreign Languages at Principia College, USA. He graduated from Principia in 1993. In 2005, he obtained a Master’s in Education – Curriculum and Instruction, from the University of Phoenix.
Ambrose began his teaching career at the GBSS in 1994 where he taught Mathematics and Spanish. He resigned from the public service in 1998 to be part of a founding team to start The Meridian School of Grenada, a private all-age school. At Meridian, he taught several subjects including Mathematics, Spanish, French, Integrated Science, English Language and English Literature. He became Head of Meridian in 2005. In 2008, he left Meridian to take up a position as a Communication Studies Lecturer at the T. A. Marryshow Community College (TAMCC).
Ambrose is the Chair of the Department of Arts, Humanities & General Studies at TAMCC. He continues to be a Communication Studies lecturer. This semester, he also teaches Basic Spanish and Basic German at the college. He is also an Education Developer, sports fan, farmer, music enthusiast, and tour guide.
