A stop at Duquense Bay, St. Mark's (from The Kayak Tourist)

“Boys, here is where we find evidence that Caribs lived in this area,” Coach Frank said. “Welcome to Duquense Bay.”

Garry gulped. “You mean we going and dig up Carib bones in the ground?”

All eyes turned to the coach hoping he would say no.

Coach Frank grinned. “Not bones. Follow me, please.”

Everyone followed the coach to the south end of the beach. He pointed to a stack of huge boulders. I noticed some images that looked like faces on them.

“Coach, what is that?” I asked.

“Those are carvings that the Caribs made in the stones. They made carvings at different locations around the island.”
